In Podgorica, the team from the Department for EU Projects of the Municipality of Ulcinj and the commander of Ulcinj’s Protection and Rescue Service met with representatives from the Directorate for Protection and Rescue, part of Montenegro’s Ministry of the Interior (MUP). The meeting spotlighted the innovative Fire Free MED – FRED project, aimed at enhancing wildfire protection across the Mediterranean region.
Representatives from the Department for EU Projects informed the Directorate attendees about FRED, which delivers cutting-edge solutions for faster, more effective fire response and stronger prevention measures. Its core mission is creating safer communities, safeguarding nature, and protecting vital assets for citizens everywhere.
