05/06/2026
From 3 to 5 June, CIMBAL took part in the StrategyMedFor Final Event, held at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, bringing together partners and stakeholders from across the Mediterranean to share results, exchange experiences, and discuss future pathways for more sustainable territorial management.

Representing the FRED Project, CIMBAL participated in the panel session “Enhancing Forest Landscape Resilience and Ecological Integrity: Applying Mediterranean Forest Fire Spatial Assessments”, where innovative approaches and tools for wildfire risk assessment and forest landscape resilience were presented and discussed.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the work being developed through European cooperation projects and to engage with experts, public authorities, and research organisations committed to strengthening the resilience of Mediterranean territories.

Key discussions focused on:
🌿 The transferability and scalability of project results
🔥 Innovative approaches to forest fire risk assessment and management
🤝 Strengthening cooperation between public authorities, research institutions, and stakeholders
🌍 Ensuring the long-term impact of solutions that support sustainable territorial governance

CIMBAL is proud to contribute to these discussions through the FRED Project, reinforcing its commitment to knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaborative action for more resilient and sustainable Mediterranean regions.
