FRED project was presented in the European week of regions, in a Pecha Kucha, with Sara Balcázar as speaker representing CIMBAL. It was a very good opportunity to disseminate the results of the project and network with potential replicators.
During the session, the FRED project was showcased, with a primary focus on its efforts towards preventing and mitigating the impact of climate change, specifically in relation to forest fires. Using the Pecha Kucha technique, Sara gave concise and engaging presentation detailing the project’s objective of implementing advanced ICT/UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System) remote sensing tools in EU regions to enhance adaptation to climate change.
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
